D (colorless): Highest-quality color grade a diamond can receive. A D-color diamond is extremely rare and emits unrivaled brilliance.
E (colorless): Contains very minute traces of color. Also a rarity, an E-color rated diamond emits a high level of brilliance and sparkle.
F (colorless): Minute traces of color can only be detected by a trained gemologist. his is a high-quality color grade.
G-H (near colorless): Contains noticeable color only when compared to higher color grades. Appearing colorless to the untrained eye, a G or H color diamond provides an excellent value.
I-J (near colorless): Contains slightly detectable color. An I-color or J-color diamond is an excellent value, as it typically appears colorless to the untrained eye.
K-L-M (faint yellow): Faint color is noticeable. Even with the presence of color, these grades of diamonds can emit fire and beauty.
I1 : Included 1. Some inclusions could be visible to the naked eye.
SI2 : Slightly included 2. The inclusions are visible under 10x magnification, and may be visible to the naked eye.
SI1 : Slightly included 1. The inclusions are visible under 10x magnification, but are not very visible to the naked eye.
VS2 : Very slightly included 2. Inclusions are difficult to detect under 10x magnification. Inclusions are typically not visible to the naked eye.
VS1 : Included 1. Some inclusions could be visible to the naked eye
VVS2 : Very very slightly included 2. The inclusions are difficult to see even under 10x magnification.They have only slightly more inclusions than VVS1 diamonds.
VVS1 : Very very slightly included 1. The inclusions are difficult to see even under 10x magnification.
IF: Internally Flawless. These rare and beautiful diamonds boast no internal flaws.
Good : Quality cut at a great value, without compromising beauty and sparkle.
Very Good: High quality cut that reflects almost as much light as an ideal cut diamond, yet at a more affordable price.
Ideal : Superior quality cut that produces a striking balance of fire and brilliance. Only 3% of the world’s diamonds are ideal cut.
